About Our Church
Worshipping God, through the teaching of Jesus Christ, is emphasized each Sunday morning with an inspirational service for all ages. Our worship celebration is enriched with inspiring music each week.
Worship Celebration is each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. with coffee/fellowship hour following the service. Summer worship is held in our fellowship hall to allow for more intimate and creative worship involving participation of all ages.
Special services are conducted during the year that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Renewal of baptismal vows
Ash Wednesday supper with the imposition of the ashes
Easter early garden service
Blessing of the animals
Healing and Wholeness service
Children's Sabbath observation and service
Ecumenical Thanksgiving service
Christmas Eve family service
Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month and at special times
throughout the church year. The Communion Table at St. Paul's United Church of Christ is an open table. All are invited who receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome at the Table.
Who We Are
The members and friends of St. Paul's United Church of Christ welcome all persons, regardless of ethnic heritage, sexual orientation, religious backgrounds, etc.
- We believe that each person is unique and valuable.
- We believe that each person is on a spiritual journey, and that each of us is at a different stage of that journey.
- We believe that small changes can make a big difference, as we lend our service to our community, and minister to those in need.
- We believe in supporting families as they grow within the warm environment of the church.
- We believe that a church that brings God's Word to people in every situation, from all walks of life, helps them to grow in love and service to Our Creator and Lord.
- We believe in the power of peace, and work for non-violent solutions to local, national, and international problems.
Our Goals
At St. Paul's United Church of Christ, our goal is to glorify Christ by building strong, united families equipped for His service. We encourage our families to learn, worship, fellowship and serve together.
No matter how or where we serve Jesus Christ, the people of our congregaton are focused on joyfully doing God’s work. We live out our call to mission and ministry by engaging in ministry with the poor, creating new places for new people and renewing the existing congregation, and developing principled Christian leaders.
Christian Education
We feel strongly about the values of Christian Education for all ages. We offer:
Sunday School for pre-school through elementary aged children
Confirmation
Adult Bible Study
Family activities for fellowship and learning
Special educational programs throughout the church year
Sunday School is offered each Sunday at 10:30 am, September through June. The children start in church worship with their parents and are dismissed following a children's message presented by Pastor Ken.
Adult Bible Study is offered on a seasonal schedule. Topics cover a wide range from biblical study, theological themes, liturgical subjects and current issues.
Baptism
The sacrament of baptism is an outward and visible sign of the grace of God. Through baptism, a person is joined with the universal church. Baptism marks one's acceptance
into the care of Christ's church, the sign and seal of God's grace and forgiveness, and the beginning of one's Christain faith and life. Families and individuals seeking baptism should speak with Pastor Ken.
